Begaj: Religious co-existence and harmony set us apart

TIRANA, April 21 /ATA/ During a visit to the Kubelia Mosque in the city of Kavaja, President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, extended his wishes to all Muslim believers on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

“I wish all Muslim believers and all Albanians wherever they live and work a happy Eid al-Fitr! I wish from the bottom of my heart that the fasting of the month of Ramadan has fulfilled the purpose of expressing the devotion of believers through sacrifice! I hope the sacrifice in the name of faith will be an impetus for us, to do good deeds, for the family, for the society and for the nation,” said the President.

In fact, Begaj emphasized, the defining feature of Eid al-Fitr celebration is solidarity and love.

“Love for one another, love for God. Today in Kavaja I felt at home, I met new and old friends, of different faiths, and which city better than Kavaja is a testimony of this religious harmony. Religious coexistence and harmony for our entire nation is an extraordinary value, a value that must be cherished, promoted and why not exported. Let’s export the best value of ours,” the President said.
