TIRANA, April 14 /ATA/ About 9,000 farmers in the country’s 12 regions applied to the National Agriculture Support Scheme 2023, to benefit from subsidies in livestock.
According to the data on the progress balance of implementation of the National Scheme, the Agency for Agriculture and Rural Development said that over 3,400 farmers have applied for measure 1: cattle and 5,200 farmers have applied for Measure 2: sheeps and goats.
According to the agency, there has been a greater number of applications this year by 2,000 farmers more than in 2022, when a total of 7,015 farmers applied, all of whom were included in support with subsidies.
The fund of the program for agriculture and rural development for 2023 addresses this year financial support of 3.3 billion lekë in support of agriculture, of which 1.4 billion lekë goes to support the free oil scheme for agriculture./p.s./
