TIRANA, April 11 /ATA/- The DP MP, Jorida Tabaku, reacted Tuesday over the figures published by EUROSTAT, according to which, 74% of emigrants leaving Albania for the EU are aged +34.
Tabaku says in a post on social media that “at the height of their chances, after having received training and finished school in tandem with work experience, this age group leaves the country setting a frightening trend after 2014. The reason? The corrupt system that has created the quagmire in Albania.”
She emphasizes that “since the introduction of socialist taxation that punishes the middle class and favors a handful of Albanians, the emigration of young people, especially those aged 18-34, has become a trend.”
The deputy adds that “young people leave their home country because they deal with corruption instead of competition, they deal with innovative ideas in state capture, they deal with oligarchy instead of meritocracy.”
“Innovation is not built up from scratch! Promotion of entrepreneurship requires adequate fiscal and economic policies, which this government has multiplied by zero. Albanians have been impoverished, they have left and the government has failed to build an Albania for the citizens. It has been the government of the minority and it has punished the majority with poor governance,” Tabaku said.
