TIRANA, April 3/ATA/ The National Council for European Integration held today the routine meeting to discuss on the achievements and challenges of the Berlin Process and the common regional market.
In the capacity of the co-chairman of the council, the Whip of the Parliamentary group of the Socialist Party Taulant Balla assessed that, “We have tried to add a Parliamentary dimension to the Berlin Process since the launch of this initiative in August 2014″.
He added that the Berlin Process is inseparable from the “Open Balkan”.
“The ‘Open Balkan’ is the only instrument for implementing the principles of the Berlin Process because while we are talking about those things that were initiated in August 2014, what the ‘Open Balkan’ is doing is implementation on the territory of the principles on which it is created the EU itself, such as the free movement of goods, people, and capital. This is what the ‘Open Balkan’ does,” he said.
In her speech, the co-chair of the Council Jorida Tabaku said that, “The Berlin process is an important component, which the Democratic Party has supported immediately after its launch”. But, she added that, “Albanian citizens have not managed to understand the important tasks that the Berlin Process has carried out during these years and how this is rendered into their daily lives”.
Tabaku said that politics and Albanian citizens are looking for results today, they expect them immediately, but this process does not only tests our patience, it also challenges us to deliver results in a challenging manner spread over time./r.e/p.s./
