Ibrahimaj: Our challenge, average salary should go into another level

TIRANA, March 17/ATA/ Minister of Finance and Economy Delina Ibrahimaj stated today that the government analyzed the market before taking the decision to increase the minimum wage by identifying businesses that would have an impact on productivity.

In regard to this, she emphasized, there was decided on subsidy of additional contributions.

“We must all work together for the qualified labor force with higher salaries”, said Minister Ibrahimaj, during a meeting with business representatives, where Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present.

According to her, businesses should come to Albania for qualified employees and for quality and we can all do this together.

“Certainly, the government can do a lot in this direction, by giving incentives to those sectors that want to increase their productivity and want to close the value chain of products within our country”, she said.

Minister Ibrahimaj also considered important that the employees feel evaluated, trained and see business as an opportunity to increase their potential and not as a stagnation and lack of protection of their rights./gj.m/p.s./
