PRISTINA, February 27/ATA/ After the meeting in Brussels with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučič, Prime Minister Albin Kurti stated that, “We have put our best foot forward toward the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia and for good European neighborliness”.
“Today, we had a positive constructive meeting in Brussels and this meeting was confirmation that the European proposal is acceptable and unchangeable. I said earlier that it is a good basis for further discussions and it is a specific platform to move forward. And now, moving forward will be for the implementation plan for which there will also be diplomacy, but there will also be the next level meeting somewhere in the middle of March, with the mediation of Borrell and Lajcak”, Kurti said after the meeting.
After the meeting, Borrell wrote in a tweet, “President Vucic and Prime Minister Kurti have today agreed that no further discussions are needed on the EU Proposal – the “Agreement on the path to normalization between Kosovo and Serbia”.
Further on, he wrote: “We have made some progress today, but more work is needed. The Agreement is above all for the citizens of Kosovo & Serbia. I will convene another meeting between the two leaders in the course of March with the aim to finalize the discussions on the Implementation Annex, which will guide the implementation phase of the Agreement. /p.s./
