TIRANA, February 15/ATA/ The Social Insurance Institute is intensifying international cooperation, ensuring the social protection of citizens.
General Director Astrit Hado said that in 2022 there were completed 1,000 applications for the services offered within the framework of the implementation of International Agreements, mainly for pensions, transfers, verifications, etc. with European Union countries and not only.
According to him, the Social Insurance Institute is currently implementing bilateral agreements with 11 countries in the field of social insurance, while 6 other agreements are in process.
“We are committed to ensuring social protection for Albanian citizens who live and work in these countries, while we are intensifying our efforts to increase the number of countries with which we intend to open negotiations”, said Hado./p.s./
