TIRANA, February 11 /ATA/ The Chairperson of the Parliamentary group of the ruling Socialist Party Taulant Balla stated today that the opposition’s protest is to oppose justice.
Speaking to reporters from Fieri, Balla reminded that the protest was called on the day that Shkëlzen Berisha was asked to appear at the SPAK, while the Assembly was blocked on the day when new evidence for January 21 murders was brought to the SPAK.
The head of the Parliamentary group said that, “The protest today is not related to an existing cause. Today, Sali Berisha has called a protest to justify his plight. He has been declared ‘non grata’ by the USA and the question we ask is: “Does any Albanian doubt that he committed corruption and undermined democracy?”.
Asked if a political entity without a stamp can gather citizens and compete in the May 14 elections, Balla said that, “They have a big problem with this issue of the signature and the seal. It’s their issue, we can’t interfere. The Albanians should teach them a proper lesson on May 14 elections”, said Balla. /k.s/p.s./
