Belsh waterworks, Rama: Non-stop water supply and energy saving

TIRANA, January 26/ATA/ The new Belshi waterworks is near completion.

This waterworks will guarantee non-stop supply of drinking water for nearly 33 thousand inhabitants.

Prime Minister Edi Rama published today on social media photos from this investment, which will not only improve the quality of the supply of drinking water for citizens, but will also be supplied with electricity through photovoltaic panels, reducing in this way by 95% the costs of energy.

Rama emphasized that this model sets an example that we will apply in other areas as well.

The waterworks consists of 4 new pumps installed, which will produce 60 liters of water per second, guaranteeing non-stop water supply for the local residents of the area.

This new investment consists of 14 kilometers of main line from the main pumping station in Shelg.

Also, during the first phase, three more boreholes were opened to guarantee the necessary amount of water, adding three more wells during the second phase. In the meantime, a new 1,000 cubic meter reservoir has been built, which guarantees the normal supply of water to this area. /gj.m/p.s./
