TIRANA, Jan 23 /ATA/ Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Frida Krifca, shared on Monday another example of success stories in agriculture.
Besnik Koçi, the emigrant who returned after 18 years in Albania, decided to invest in his agricultural lands in Këmishaj, Divjakë to cultivate medicinal herbs.
Koçi says that, in emigration, he worked in construction, while his family in Divjaka worked in agriculture.
He says that, “I decided to return to my country after years in emigration, where in 2012 I set out to grow medicinal plants, in addition to those cultivated by my family, adding other herbs.”
Koçi emphasizes that, “thanks to the investments of ARDA, the investment of “Biobes” company expanded into silos and cleaning lines to become one of the largest organic exporting companies in Albania.”
He adds that, “Albania today needs more young people to get involved in the field of agriculture and to believe in their work following the best models in developed countries and in our country.”
Koçi says that the company’s motto is: “Biobes believes in agriculture and nature.” If until yesterday agriculture was thought of as an investment without a roof, thanks to the support of ARDA and proper guidance, today it gets material returns.”
