Non-performing loans slightly increased by 0.5% in November

TIRANA, January 10 /ATA/ The non-performing loans in the banking sector marked a slight increase during November 2022.

The Bank of Albania said that the non-performing loans rose to the level of 5.05%, from the 5% it had been for October 2022.

According to the Bank, the annual trend remains positive as the ratio of non-performing loans results in a decrease of 1.05% compared to November last year.

So far, the projections result in a rather limited increase of the non-performing loan indicator, but however, uncertainties are related to inflation and the increase in interest rates.

Managing the quality of the loan portfolio is one of the main challenges of the banking sector for this year./p.s./
