TIRANA, January 10 /ATA/ Cultural heritage sites in our country are attracting more and more every year local visitors and foreign tourists.
Minister of Culture Elva Margariti posted on social media the statistics on the visits to cultural heritage objects, while she noticed that, “2022 marked the revival of the cultural sector”.
During 2022, the number of visitors to cultural heritage objects was twice as much as in 2021.
“This is confirmed by the numbers of visitors to the cultural heritage facilities, significantly higher than in previous years,” said Margariti.
According to figures provided by the Ministry of Culture, during 2022, the number of visitors reached 689,283, compared to 423,565 visitors in 2021.
Our monuments are becoming more and more appealing for visitors, wrote the minister, while the figures show that the upward trend, at least in the last three years, has been 100%.
This year there has been an increasing flow of local and foreign visitors to the Albanian cultural heritage sites which have been maintained through investments and restorations. /p.s./
