TIRANA, January 10 /ATA/ President Bajram Begaj received the new head of the OSCE Presence in Tirana, Ambassador Guido De Sanctis.
Begaj wrote in a post on social media that, “The presence of the OSCE in Albania is an important and collaborative partner in facing the challenges related to the consolidation of the rule of law, the organization of free and fair elections, the freedom and professionalism of media, anti-corruption and many other areas”.
In today’s meeting with the new head of the OSCE Presence in Tirana, Ambassador Guido De Sanctis, Begaj evaluated the role of this organization so far, as well as the step-by-step transformation of the focus of cooperation.
Begaj also emphasized that, “It is very important that political parties and other competing entities demonstrate a clear will to respect the law and a fair competition and that political dialogue is necessary to take the country forward”. /j.p/p.s./
