PRISHTINA, Jan 7 /ATA/ – The NATO-led peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, KFOR, has submitted a reply to Serbia’s request for the return of up to 1,000 of its military and police personnel to Kosovo, but no information about its content has been disclosed.
“KFOR Commander has submitted the Mission’s reply to the request forwarded by the government of Serbia, but no details can be provided on NATO correspondence,” KFOR said in its reply.
KFOR reiterated it is fully capable of fulfilling the mission it has been assigned by the United Nations.
On December 15 last year, Serbian government asked the NATO peacekeeping commander to allow Serbia to send a number of its security forces to Kosovo.
