TIRANA, Dec 4 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Sunday that the SP has started preparations for the upcoming local elections on the heels of the last elections,” adding that, “thanks to the increasingly iron patronage system, we are invincible.”
Pressed by the journalists in a livestreamed conversation with citizens and the media if the Socialist Party has fielded the official candidates for the May 14 local elections, given that the DP is preparing and holding the primary elections today, Rama said that, “I don’t know which party has hit the ground running, but I know it is too early to find out who is who on the other side or on other sides.”
“On the other hand, I know that our preparations for the upcoming elections started on the heels of the last elections and thanks to the increasingly iron patronage system we are invincible, these are elections of special importance for us, ” Rama said.
“We have given precedence to the upcoming elections, we did this work long ago. You have been witnesses because you were on the doorstep of the Socialist Party headquarters a long time ago, when we started this process and we are undoubtedly the most organized party ever in the Albanian politics. We improve our organization in every election and we work like an unbeatable machine. We applaud the others for all the efforts they make to improve, but they are very far from us, they are very far from us,” Rama said.
