TIRANA, Nov 25 /ATA/ – The Democratic Party lawmaker Eralda Bano rejected Friday the Durres tourist port project that was approved by Parliament a day ago, saying that the ruling majority turned down every amendment to 2023 state budget forwarded by the opposition.
“At yesterday’s plenary session, the ruling majority lawmakers responded to the opposition statements regarding the gigantic corruption affair of the Durres port project and the amendments to the next year’s state budget by voting en bloc, like they have always done. Our proposals were legitimate and were designed to serve the Albanian citizens,” she said.
Bano said she had tabled a request to increase the number of assisting teachers for the children with disabilities and special needs.
“The majority lawmakers voted against this proposal, clearly demonstrating they are insensitive to the Albanian citizens,” Bano stated.
