Zhupa: Double budget responds to double burden on citizens

TIRANA, November 10/ATA/ Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa appreciated the 2023 budget as a doubling of the burden on the citizens.

In her speech in the Assembly, Zhupa said that the rhetoric of the double budget in fact  refers to the double burden on the citizens, but this burden being rendered into double salaries and pensions is far from the reality”, she emphasized.

“Real inflation is not indexed in this country. So, unfortunately, we are discussing one side of the matter that talks about the citizens and the other side that talks about a war that is the war of the oligarchs against the citizens. It has nothing to do with the war in Ukraine, or your usual rhetoric, the earthquake and the pandemic. No, it has to do with your philosophy that you will share the money with clients, with the oligarchs and not take it to the citizens,” she said.

Zhupa added that 156 million Euros are to pay for Albania’s lost arbitration cases. “And why? Because it is expected that from this budget and future budgets, this cost will increase more because of the injustices that you do with full awareness,” she said.

Also, Zhupa said that the government will take 17 million Euros in taxes only from free professions.

“Many young professionals will be on the square, because from zero you have increased taxation by 15-23%. You treat them as if they are not the people holding the market. You take 17 million Euros only from them, while for them it is their livelihood, while for you it is just one kilometer of stolen paved road. We will all go to the square together, we will react to these injustices”, said Zhupa. /j.p/p.s./
