Rama: Support for young people without economic means to attend coding courses

TIRANA, November 1/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that the government will financially support young people who are talented, but do not have the economic means to attend coding courses.

During a conversation in Korça with girls and boys active in self-employment through technology, engagement with art for everyone and involvement in sports, Rama said that, “Korça has become a kind of engine even for the others because it has the information center, as well as the program with Kosovo”.

Rama emphasized that, “We want to create opportunities for young people, the best possible”.

Addressing the young coders, Rama said that, “You have another burden, as the first swallow of this new wave, to help us make it concrete. It is something concrete that present-day technology gives the possibility that without moving from the country, but stay only in Korça, even in the village, if you have an Internet connection, a computer, you can get a job anywhere in the world”.

Rama said that work is continuing on the drafting of a draft law that would regulate the legislative part for those he called “digital nomads”.

“They earn so much that they are afraid of being caught by Korça Tax Directorate; we still do not have a regulated legislation for them, we are making the law for digital nomads”, said Rama./k.s/j.p/r.e/p.s./
