TIRANA, October 31/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama inspected today the photovoltaic park “Erseka Solar Park” in Kolonja, a super investment in the energy sector.
Rama said that together with other similar projects that are being developed in other cities of Albania, we shall have a high energy capacity.
The prime minister was optimistic that by 2029, there will be 100% energy independence.
“We practically have a process of expressions of interest, applications, approved projects or even yours which is in a more advanced stage, a production and installation capacity of solar energy production, which will take us to 100% independence in 2025, when we also have rainy weather, that is, when we have the Hydropower plants producing energy at full capacity. While anticipating drought and low levels of water at hydropower plants, then we will achieve complete energy independence in 2029”, said the prime minister.
The photovoltaic park “Erseka Solar Park” in Kolonja will produce a total of 170 million kilowatts with 80 megawatts of installed power, where 40 megawatts is the production in the first phase and 40 megawatts in the second phase./r.e/p.s./
