TIRANA, October 4 /ATA/ The National Security Committee held a meeting with the Parliamentary Committee for Supervision of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
Committee’s Chairperson Nasip Naço said that on Wednesday there will be 2 more meetings with Kosovo counterpart committee.
“During the last meeting in Kosovo, we discussed the common challenges of our two countries regarding security issues which require further cooperation because the challenges we have to work together are serious. Therefore, both parliaments and security committees must be prepared so that our national security is not endangered”, said Naço.
For her part, Head of the Parliamentary Committee for the Supervision of the Kosovo Assembly Ganimete Musliu, said that, “Since we are dealing with the country’s security work and the intelligence service, there is no division, position and opposition because the country’s security belongs to both the position and the opposition”.
“We met today after the situation of cyber attacks in Albania and Kosovo, but I consider that this should not serve us as fear but as a lesson from the attack of unfriendly countries. Today, it is good that in this meeting we come up with advice and suggestions for future security work. Kosovo-Albania cooperation should be deepened in warning, preventive intelligence, with special emphasis on the advancement of national interests and the offense against unfriendly services. There are still countries that have not shown themselves to be friendly with Kosovo and here we also need the support of Albania”, she said.
The session continued behind closed doors.
