TIRANA, October 3 /ATA/ The State Police reacted today regarding media reports according to which the MEMEX system data have been hacked.
The State Police issued a press release to say that no data in the MEMEX system has been hacked.
“In regard to media reports according to which data has been obtained from the MEMEX system, we clarify the public opinion that this system has not been hacked and that these data have nothing to do with the database of the MEMEX police system “, the press release reads.
“The State Police said that no sensitive data administered in this system, which are related to police work, has been stolen or distorted. The State Police, in close cooperation with partners, is investigating the origin of the leak of these data and appeals that, in accordance with the prosecutor’s order, dated 19.09.2022, they are not published by the audiovisual media, print media, online media, in social networks or in any form of publication or transfer, data posted by the authors of this cyber-attack against the digital systems of the State Police”, the press release states./j.p/r.e/p.s./
