Rama: Not a single penny in installation, renewable energy project is at hand

TIRANA, Sept 27 /ATA/ “The Albanian government has not spent a single penny on any type of installation in the premises of the Council of Ministers,” Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Tuesday.

Pressed by the journalists after the meeting of the Socialist Party leadership, Rama said that “the government has undertaken a program of renewable solar energy that will be extended to all institutions starting from the Prime Minister’s Office and all the ministries and it is not a work of art, it is about a renewable energy project with combined effect of microclimate and new working environments that are needed there, it is not done for me or for us, but it is something that will be there and has been planned for a while now.”
Prime Minister Rama emphasized that “the theory that all investments should be stopped due to the crisis situation is an effort to mislead and manipulate people because it is not substantiated whatsoever.”

“Investments generate incomes and more incomes bring economic growth and increased capacity to distribute them. These things are inter-connected because investments create new jobs, new attractions bring more people to an important area as the area of Elbasan is. More visitors mean more consumers and more consumers mean more income for all services and services mean more income for the families starting from the farmers who produce to those who sell or offer other services,” said Rama.

“Things are connected, I heard the same old story in the aftermath of the earthquake and during the pandemic, and as you have seen, if we had followed the theory that we should stop all the works, then we would have been left with no possibility to deal with everything,” Rama said.
