TIRANA, September 22 /ATA/ The government supports with over 50% grant financing the entrepreneurs who invest in wineries, whose production capacity must be no less than 200 hectolitre.
General Director of the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development Eranda Selmanaj posted on social networks the example of Gjovanina, the entrepreneur from Përmet who returned from emigration and with the support of the IPARD program invested in setting up a winery that produces for export.
Selmanaj said that investments in wineries are included in one of the measures of the IPARD II program and will continue to get support for the IPARD III program, which will start implementation soon.
“Zavalani” canteen is one of the examples of the support of the IPARD-II program, the second call, Measure 3, in Albania. After emigrating to the United States for ten years Gjovanina Hasani, together with her husband, bought a plot of land in Qilarisht of Përmet where they set up a vineyard, and through the 50% support of the IPARD-II program, they built a winery for wine processing, with contemporary parameters, and with a capacity of 250 hl, to produce a quality wine, worthy of export. Wine production is an art, but also a science, with an old history and a mixture of individual creativity and innovative technology”, wrote Selmanaj, as he pointed out that, in the future, their dream is to build an agro-tourism which will serve tourism and employment in the area.
In our country, wine production is taking a dynamic development and is also considered a business with economic benefits.
To be successful in the modern market, a winemaker must integrate the artistic and economic aspects of winemaking and have a good knowledge of the internal and external factors that motivate the purchase. The grant support of this sector is awakening a new stage of this industry with the “Made in Albania” brand, which aspires to expand sales in foreign markets. /j.p/p.s./
