TIRANA, Sept 21 /ATA/ Work on the construction of Lot 7 of the northeast ring road, 1.92 km at length, is running at a high pace.
Lot 7 starts from the end of the “New Boulevard” to the bank of the Tirana River.
The Albanian Road Authority announces that works entail structural excavations, crushed rock backfilling and construction of an embankment to protect the road from the Tirana river flooding.
In the Ring Road, work is in full swing on several segments, in the part from the “Shqiponja” roundabout to New Boulevard and the axis from New Boulevard to Shkoza. In this axis, works of engineering art and secondary roads are set to be built to connect the ring road with other areas of the capital.
The Ring Road of the capital is 27 kilometers long. Its completion in 2023 eases traffic within Tirana and connects the capital with all national access axes.
The works in the Ring Road are in full swing. The access axes of the capital have already opened for circulation, significantly easing the road traffic.
