TIRANA, Sept 20/ATA/ Minister of State for Parliamentary Relations, Elisa Spiropali, answered on Tuesday the questions of the deputies in the Law Commission on the cyberattacks by the Iranians on the public services of the Albanian state.
Spiropali said that the damage done to Albanian systems are not irreparable.
The minister said that Albania has drawn up and submitted a detailed report on cyber attacks to the European Commission, NATO and the US State Department.
“I would like to make a reference to what Alibeaj said. He asked if we have data on the extent of the damage done. Immediately after the July 15 attacks, the group set up to neutralize the attack has come up with a detailed report.
It is not as some of your colleagues said in Parliament, who said that a group of children brought the Albanian government to its knees.
It turned out that they are not children, but a hostile state. It is an attack sponsored and supported by a hostile state. The State Department, the White House, NATO and every other ally have reacted to this attack. It is massive and serious
Spiropali added that “we managed to prevent a damage that could have knocked down the entire chain of state services.”
