TIRANA, September 13 /ATA/- Lake Shkodra welcomed special visitors who brought a joyful atmosphere to the city.
Mayor of the municipality Bardh Spahia posted on social networks a photo set with a wonderful view of the waters surrounding Shkodra, in which the famous Venetian gondola used to sail.
The traditional boats of Venice, for the first time, also sailed in the lake of Shkodra and Buna.
The surprising sights brought to mind the times when Shkodra and Venice had a closer communication, from the point of view of water transport.
“Whenever the history of our city is talked about, it is impossible not to dwell on the fact that Shkodra and Venice are two regions with connections that date back centuries ago”, said Mayor Spahia.
According to him, it is natural that these ties still remain strong and have meeting points in the economy, art and tourism.
Bardh Spahia hosted the friends of “Associazione Settemari Asd, Aps di Venezia” on the shores of Shiroka, after a fantastic gondola ride on the waters of Lake Shkodra.
“It is about a group of intellectuals from different fields, but united by the passion of sailing. By choosing Shkodra, they have made the most beautiful tourist promotion for the city”, said the mayor of Shkodër, who invited his Italian friends to explore other wonders of the area./p.s./
