TIRANA, September 2/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama announced today the creation of the “Open Balkans” Agency for foreign investments.
At the joint press conference at the end of the “Open Balkans” summit, Rama expressed optimism about the agreements signed in context of this initiative, while emphasizing that, “We are not satisfied, because there is still a lot of potential”.
“We have signed other agreements. We are really optimistic, we are not satisfied that there is a lot of potential, but we have increased trade volume between our countries, increased spaces. We now want to introduce the element of expanding the investment space by pooling our experiences and creating a joint investment agency, a more precise umbrella, as our agencies will be autonomous. But, at the same time they will be under one umbrella, the ‘Open Balkans’ Agency for foreign investments”, said Rama.
The prime minister added that the “Open Balkan” is the choice we have made.
“I emphasize once again. Yesterday was the most beautiful day of the ‘Open Balkans’, it could have been a typical bad day for the Balkans as a whole and instead of opening the doors to the working people, to the people of the land, to the people of food production and for many others around the world, we could have opened the door to another bad news of tension, conflict, risk of war and all. Fortunately, the first happened. This is the ‘Open Balkans’ and this is the choice we have made. Let’s look forward to bring people as close as possible to each other, understand people and ‘put ourselves in the other’s shoes’ and solve the things we have to solve with patience, with understanding” , said Rama./r.e/p.s./
