New urban space built under Urban Renaissance programme in Erseke

TIRANA, Aug 28 /ATA/ –  The town of Erseka, south-east Albania is part of the Urban Renaissance programme launched by Socialist government to renew the image of cities, towns and squares across Albania and support development of tourism industry.

Prime Minister Edi Rama on Sunday shared images showing a newly-requalified space in the town of Erseka, with fresh water flowing from Mount Gramozi running through this urban space.

“Good morning and through another Urban Renaissance space in Erseke, with the water flow snaking through it and directly flowing from the Gramoz waterfalls, I wish you all a fine weekend,” PM Rama said.

About $ 600 million was invested and 1,000 projects have been implemented across Albania under the Urban Renaissance Programme.

Mount Gramoz, in southern Albania and on the border with Greece, is home to a glacial lake, a natural monument at an altitude of 2523 m above sea level and one of the most preferred attractions in Erseka. There is a variety of natural vegetation around the glacial lake. The natural monument offers scientific, aesthetic and tourist values.
