TIRANA, Aug 25 /ATA/ – Albania’s National Institute of Statistics, INSTAT, announced Thursday it has decided to postpone a population and housing census and data collection to next year.
INSTAT underlined that taking notice of the fact that the Institute was unable to ensure timely provision of the required means for data collection on the ground, it is impossible to conduct this activity this year.
INSTAT confirmed it remains committed to delivering on its objective to conduct a population and housing census in compliance with the standard and the recommendations from the United Nations and the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat).
