TIRANA, Aug 19 /ATA/ – By I.Vata/ The Judicial Appointments Council has also approved the list of candidates for the vacant position on the Constitutional Court.
The High Court announced that the Judicial Appointments Council forwarded to the High Court on August 15, the approved report and the list containing the accompanying documentation of the candidates who competed for the vacant seat of the Constitutional Court, announced by the High Court on August 21 September 2019, re-announced on 19 April 2019, re-announced on 03.06.2021, and re-announced on 15.11.2021.
The Deputy Chief Justice of the High Court, Sokol Sadushi, pursuant to the legal obligations arising from point 3 of article 7/ç of law no. 8577, dated 10.02.2000 “On the organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania” (amended), Article 4 of the Regulation of the Special Meeting of High Court judges for the election of the member of the Constitutional Court, as well as Article 26, point 2 of the law no. 98/2018 “On the organization of the judiciary in the Republic of Albania”, decided to call the Special Meeting of the judges of the High Court to elect the member of the Constitutional Court, on Monday, 12.09.2022, at 10.00. /j.p/sm/
