Digitalization process of old “Marubi” registers completed

TIRANA, August 10/ATA/ The “Marubi” National Museum of Photography completed the full digitization process of 75 very voluminous old registers and 171 documents that preserve the traces of the collection’s photographers.

This valuable and voluminous work was done thanks to a summer teaching practice program, started since 2018.

Students from the Austrian “Peter Mahringer” school participated in the “Summer at Marubi” program, in the course of their internships in the museum, making a valuable contribution to the digitization of archival documents.

The young people worked with seriousness and dedication for the digitization of the old registers, it is stated in the announcement given by the “Marubi” Museum on social networks.

Next summer, the program will be replaced by “Marubi Open Archive”, an open invitation for artists, curators and art critics to research the Marubi archive. /j.p/p.s./
