TIRANA, Aug 10 /ATA/ The establishment of processing points for agricultural products remains the next challenge down the path to give impetus to the development of Albanian agriculture.
The political leader of the Socialist Party in the region of Fier, Taulant Balla, and the mayor of Fier, Armando Subashi, visited the premises of the olive processing company “Cakran Olives.”
The factory processes olives, which come from Greece, and are then exported to the markets of Europe and the world.
Balla emphasized that the support to boost the development of Albanian agriculture should now move on to the second phase.
“In the first phase we managed to increase our production, but the production is sold. We have made a success of collection points and now our main focus is on processing points. Through processing, we increase the value of the goods,” said Balla.
