TIRANA, Aug 9 /ATA/ Blendi Gonxhja, general director of Road Transport Services, said that, “the new vehicle circulation permit has replaced 3 documents for 2 months now and is easing and saving citizens who are served by regional directorates.”
Gonxhja wrote on social media that 32,724 new vehicle registration certificates were issued during the period from June 6 to July 29, 2022.
Compared to a year ago, the number of new vehicle registration certificates increased by 1,874, or 6% more, and 11,099 more compared to 2018 (or +51%).
According to him, the new format unifies 3 documents in 1, the old vehicle registration certificate, the ownership certificate and the international vehicle certificate. The new registration certificate costs 2,100 Lek, reducing costs by 40% and increasing benefits for citizens.
“45,813,600 ALL saved to citizens from the 40% reduction of the fee (from 3,500 ALL to 2,100 ALL) in less than 2 months. It saves waiting and service time for citizens and there is no expiry date,” he said.
