TIRANA, August 4/ATA/- State Commissioner for Elections Ilirjan Celibashi stated today that the draft act on the rules for the registration of Albanian nationals eligible to vote and living abroad has been completed.
Celibashi said that the CEC continues to work on enabling emigrants to vote in the general Parliamentary elections.
He explained that the process has reached the point of consultation with representatives of the Diaspora, political parties and civil society.
“We have completed the draft act on the rules for the registration of voters from abroad for the elections to the Assembly. We are already in the process of consulting these rules with representatives of the Diaspora, political parties and civil society. The CEC is continuing the work on drafting of other regulatory acts for other aspects of the voting process of emigrants”, he said in a reaction on social networks./i.s/p.s./
