TIRANA, Aug 2 /ATA/ – By I.Vata/- The Ministry of Defense stated on Tuesday that during the month of July, 361 fires were extinguished throughout the country.
The Ministry of Defense announces that, “Operational Forces, under the coordination of the Civil Protection Agency, responded swiftly to all calls for intervention, averting serious consequences in many of these hotspots.”
“A part of the operations required intervention from the air, which was prompt. Albania has turned to the European Civil Protection Mechanism, within which the Greek side has responded in record time, sending planes which helped extinguish the wildfires on the island of Sazan, the municipality of Dropull or even in Finiq,” the press release of the Ministry reads.
