TIRANA, July 28 /ATA/ The chairman of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, stated on Thursday that the SP is ready to endorse the legal changes proposed by AIDSSH.
“The issue of a letter from AIDSSH is not a matter of procedure, but it is in fact an issue that deserves to be subject of a debate as soon as possible and requires a very serious deliberation,” Balla said in his remarks in parliament.
“The promotion of State Security collaborators, a secret terror service, to all the tops of the state pyramid requires a serious and urgent deliberation from this parliament. Just as the fact that a designated party secretary desecrates this Assembly today with his presence and language also requires serious deliberation,” said Balla.
“Today we have gathered to vote the cabinet reshuffle which is adopted without debate, but today we must give full support to the Authority for Information on the Documents of the former State Security, which has been the target of the designated and the collaborator of the State Security,” emphasized Balla.
“We must pave the way for those legal changes that Alibeaj said, and I hope that Alibeaj will keep his word through the end. And that I urge that the Dossiers Authority check the certificate of lustration for anyone who has entered into politics with bugs on the body as a servant of the State Security. We will be here, the SP parliamentary group is ready and will endorse the legal changes and those to the Electoral Code. And I wish and hope that DP too. In fact, if you want to take the initiative, you are welcome to do that. We will vote and support those changes,” said Balla.
