TIRANA, July 25/ATA/ The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported today that in the last 24 hours, there were performed 606 tests for COVID-19. 233 citizens happened to be infected and there were two deaths and 1044 citizens recovered.
“There are 8,997 citizens active with Covid-19 throughout the country. Currently, 32 patients are receiving treatment at the COVID 3 hospital. In the last 24 hours, there have been two deaths with Sars-Cov-2: a citizen from Tirana, 66 years old, and a citizen from Durrës, 81 years old,” the Ministry’s report reads.
“1044 citizens have recovered during the last 24 hours, bringing the number of those recovered to 292,597 since the beginning of the epidemic”, said the Ministry.
Due to the increase in the number of citizens affected by COVID-19, the Ministry of Health reiterated its call on citizens not to neglect the anti-COVID vaccination, especially in this period of increased contacts, due to movements throughout the summer season.
