Government approves new judicial map

TIRANA, July 21 /ATA/-Minister of Justice Ulsi Manja announced that the government approved today the new judicial map.

During a briefing, Manja said that, “As the map enters into force, Albania will have 13 Courts of First Instance of general jurisdiction, 1 Court of Appeal with general jurisdiction and two Administrative Courts of First Instance”.

According to him, the approval of the new judicial map is an important step in the implementation of the Justice Reform.

“The new judicial map is a joint proposal of the High Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice. It is the product of the work of a group of experts from the High Judicial Council, assisted by experts from the Council of Europe and other international experts. It is an excellent three-year work which was finalized today with the approval of the judicial map in the government”, said the minister.

He clarified that the courts that will be closed will not affect any judicial service.

“Citizens will receive all judicial services in existing court structures. Also, the implementation of the map will be done in stages”, said Manja./p.s./
