Rama on charges brought against KLA: It was a masquerade

TIRANA, July 19/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that he had no evidence as to whether or not Russia was behind the cyber attack launched against Albania and that he would not bring charges without having evidence. But, he emphasized that the charges filed for organ trafficking in Kosovo were started from Russia and its mouthpiece.

During the media conference in Brussels, Rama said that in Kosovo and Albania were carried out investigations regarding these accusations, but were found no facts, not even suspicions.

“Today, I don’t know whether or not Russia was part of this game, but I do know that an unfortunately bad story of organ trafficking was started by Russia and not by someone else, but by the Russian mouthpiece. I say, there is no fact or even suspicion about organ trafficking and as you noted, this court, in The Hague, was created on the basis of this report, because it was this report full of gaps that has brought exactly this type of special court to life. And in a certain way, investigations after investigations that have become independent of any kind of influence have yielded nothing”, stated Prime Minister Rama in the joint conference with the Commissioner of the European Union for Enlargement and Neighborhood Olivér Várhelyi and the Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský in Brussels.

Rama emphasized that there is no evidence to confirm that there was any trafficking of human organs organized by the leadership of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

“Now, we want to tell the world that this was a masquerade that cast mud against an independent state, Kosovo and its entire liberation war. There is no evidence of anyone’s investigations that there was any trafficking of human organs organized by the leadership of the Kosovo Liberation Army. Kosovo has actually been the victim of an organized attack all over the world. No one should try to explain it in another way, stated PM Rama.

The prime minister further said that the Council of Europe should find the courage and apologize.

“It has nothing to do with the process that is happening in The Hague. It is about a page of shame of the Council of Europe and the Council must find the courage to stand up and say: Sorry! That it is not possible for such democratic institutions to do such a thing in a country where terrible things have happened “, said Rama.

Rama said that this should be announced with the name it has.

Furthermore, he emphasized that it is impossible to accuse a people that won liberation through such a great effort of the coalition of democratic states and also thanks to a liberation army, despite the machine of ethnic cleansing led by Slobodan Milosevic.

According to PM Rama, Albania is too small to change the fate of any decision-making at the high level, but he assured, “Albania will never surrender to the idea that we are small and can be treated as such”.

This, he said, belongs to the past./r.e/p.s./
