TIRANA, July 3 /ATA/ Citizens from Kosovo and Albania have crossed the border points of the two countries for 8 days without having to register.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on his social media account images of the kilometer-long waiting lines of vehicles at the Morin Border Point, which were created every year during the summer months.
“The first borderless holidays between Albania and Kosovo,” Rama says.
On June 20, the governments of Albania and Kosovo signed an agreement on the removal of border controls for official weekend holidays.
Under the agreement between the two states, the citizens are not registered by the Police of Kosovo and Albania until September 30 for every weekend and official holiday.
