TIRANA, June 14 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ The National Agency for Information Society Director General, Mirlinda Karçanaj, informed that “in 5 years, 20 million e-stamped documents have been issued, which translates in time and money saved for citizens and businesses.”
At the National Anti-Corruption Conference, Karçanaj stressed that after May 1, 2022, when all services are provided online, the use of services has increased 2.4 times, or 1.7 million more than the previous period.
“It shows that people use the services and we have not left anyone unserved. The next step will be the ‘Siri’ of public services, starting with e- stamped services,” she added.
According to her, “the journey to implement the digital revolution has been very arduous and this has been the most essential and difficult reform of the Albanian transition.”
“We started off with only 14 online services, while now there are 1225 services. “95% of all public services are online, the remaining 5% need physical presence,” she said.
According to Karçanaj, “the most difficult part of this journey has been changing the mindset of the administration and the citizens.”
Karçanaj said that in the interaction platform there are 55 systems that communicate in real time to provide 1225 online services.
