TIRANA, June 9/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that in February next year, there will kick off work for construction of a bridge over the Buna River.
In his reaction in the Assembly to the Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku, Rama thanked her for mentioning the Buna Bridge.
“Thank you because it is really a very important project for our entire tourism industry. 1 kilometer of bridge between Albania and Montenegro is enough to avoid over 70 kilometers of road. Not only that, but the bridge also creates a much more attractive source for investments in tourism and for the regional economic synergy of that area”, said Rama.
“The plan is that in February next year, together with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, I will be there to start work on construction of the bridge”, said Rama.
“We are now in the phase of preparing a detailed project. And public works require their time. They are facing an absolutely not easy situation due to the increase in prices, however, work will start there next February”, he continued./j.p/p.s./
