TIRANA, June 1/ATA/ Balkan countries need regional strategies for environmental protection.
The 4 Albanian ministers from Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia shared the stance in the framework of the proceedings of the Tratolow ministerial in Vienna.
“4 Albanian ministers are in agreement at the table of the Western Balkan countries, invited by the Austrian Minister of Environment and Climate Leonore Gewessler, that the Balkan countries need regional strategies for environmental protection and development of renewable energy sources”, Minister of Tourism and Environment of Albania Mirela Kumbaro said in a post on social media, while posting a photo with the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning of North Macedonia Naser Nuredini, Minister of Economy of Kosovo Artane Rizvanolli and Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure of Kosovo Liburn Aliu.
During this ministerial, Kumbaro presented the initiative of Albania for prohibition of disposable plastic bags starting from June 1, 2022, as a concrete effort in the field of environment./k.s/r.e/p.s./
