PM Rama: Lungomare project  enhanced value of properties in Vlora

TIRANA, May 21 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said Saturday that the Urban Renaissance programme launched by his government is designed to renew the image of cities, towns and squares across Albania and support development of tourism industry.

Speaking about importance of the infrastructure projects to boost tourism industry, the government head said in his remarks at an event in Vlora that the waterfront promenade or Lungomare project in the coastal city of Vlora has enhanced value of the properties of citizens living in the area.

Addressing the international conference “Heading to the Future: My City, My Home”, a dialogue platform on community involvement in decision making and future shaping, the government head said that “the beauty in a shared space becomes a catalyst for a set of changes that lead to a structural transformation.”

“When we talk about Lungomare in terms of the aesthetic aspect and the pleasure that space creates, the most important thing is that the people who own properties in that area are away wealthier today,” he said.
