TIRANA, May 1 /ATA/ – The Guardian, the British influential daily newspaper, included the village of Qeparo in Vlora, southern Albania, among the 40 best beach destinations in Italy, Greece and Spain to visit during this summer season.
The renowned newspaper underlines that Albania is home to plenty of hidden beaches, but Qeparo is the most beautiful one.
The Guardian describes Qeparo as magical village offering spectacular colour combinations: the blue of the sea, the green of the hillsides and the white of limestone rock formations popping out of the dramatic mountainsides all around.
“Qeparo is a magical village offering spectacular colour combinations: the blue of the sea, the green of the hillsides and the white of limestone rock formations popping out of the dramatic mountainsides all around. There are plenty of hidden beaches, but even the main one, called Porto Palermo, is beautifully undeveloped, and perfect for relaxing on the pebbles or exploring the nearby rocky peninsula, topped with a 200-year-old fortress,” the Guardian writes.
The village of Qeparo, located 13 km in south of the town of Himara, has become a very popular destination for foreign tourists over the past years.
