TIRANA, April 29 /ATA/ Six ships of the navy and one of the “Delta” force were part of the “Vlora SAREX” exercise.
Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, said on Friday that, “search and rescue operations at sea were part of the” Vlora SAREX “exercise of our Navy, in cooperation with the Border Police and Migration.”
“Six ships of our naval fleet and one of the ‘Delta’ force coordinated the operations between the crews to carry out operations at sea,” stressed Peleshi.
“This exercise developed scenarios for search and rescue operations, evacuation of personnel from the ship on fire and providing aid to the ship engulfed in flames,” said Peleshi.
