TIRANA, April 16/ATA/ The Chairperson of the Parliamentary group of the Democratic Party in opposition Enkelejd Alibeaj presented today the platform for the unification of the Democratic Party.
In a press conference, Alibeaj said that, “Unification is a value that all Democrats want and unification according to these proposed principles, based on the fair voting process which includes all Democrats and where no one is excluded and while there is no rebuke in the moral aspect”.
According to him, “The time has come for every MP to see beyond his own interest, beyond the interest of a narrow group, joining the majority of the parliamentary group in this unifying stance of the Democrats”.
Alibeaj said that, “The first step for the unification of the Democrats is the certification of the current membership as well as the return of the expelled to the party, as well as the cancellation of the unilateral elections on the grassroots”.
“The PD Parliamentary group strongly appeals to avoid hate speech, blackmail; MPs expelled or suspended on January 12, 2022, return to the group; any unilateral process of reorganization or meeting of the central structures of the party is canceled; the Parliamentary group sets up a joint working group for the realization of the union of the party and the joint group determines the implementing structures of the union plan “, said Alibeaj.
