Rama: “Sami Frashëri” school is being built anew

TIRANA, April 7 /ATA/ The “Sami Frashëri” school, one of the iconic high schools of Tirana, is being built anew, twice as big, stronger and more beautiful.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a view of the new school which is being built after being damaged by the earthquake of November 26, 2019.

“Here’s the new building of the “Sami Frashëri” school which was destroyed by the earthquake. And we are not building blocks of apartments, but the school twice as big, stronger and more beautiful, in the same place where the old school stood and not “in Paskuqan” as it was claimed”, said Rama.

The school is ready to host the graduation ceremony for this year’s graduates in the new building.

The new “Sami Frashëri” school is designed to meet the demand for a capacity of 1500 students, in 50 classes, composed of 30 students each. The new building is organized in 4 floors, creating several facilities where in addition to classrooms will be located laboratories, gyms, libraries, sports fields, etc, all transparent and illuminated by natural light that enables students to be in contact with the greenery and nature.

In addition to the architectural project, there was given much importance to the outdoor space project, conceived as rooms in the open inside the school and connected with space designed for recreational activities./k.s/j.p/p.s./
