TIRANA, April 5 /ATA/ Canada has completed the procedures for ratification of Canada-Albania Social Security Agreement.
Prime Minister Edi Rama appreciated this agreement as super news and stressed that it gives the citizens the right to enjoy all the benefits of their pension contributions.
“Super news. Canada completed the internal procedures for the entry into force of the Agreement on mutual recognition of Social Security with Albania. This agreement, which enters into force on August 1, 2022, gives citizens the right to enjoy all the benefits of their contributions for the pensions “, said Rama.
On her part, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olta Xhaçka stressed that, “The agreement on mutual recognition of social security helps Albanian and Canadian nationals living and working in their respective countries, the opportunity to coordinate payments and benefits according to public pension schemes of both countries ”./r.e/p.s./
