TIRANA, April 1 /ATA/- In the light of the Social Resilience Package introduced by the Albanian Government, the Social Insurance Institute started today, on April 1, 2022, the delivery of all pensions indexed in accordance with the applicable legislation, at the rate of 3.3%, with a financial effect of ALL 3.3 billion.
This indexation will benefit 673,813 retirees countrywide.
To mitigate the essentials price hike, ALL 3,000 lek allowance, for a period of 3 months, has started to be disbursed for certain categories.
This measure will benefit 576,381 households and individuals, beneficiaries of the economic assistance and disability pay program, and disability and old age pensioners. The financial effect is estimated at about ALL 5.2 billion. This measure will be effective for the period April-May-June and it will not be possible to carry it over in subsequent periods.
The Social Insurance Institute emphasizes that it is committed to informing the citizens and moving ahead with this process designed to help the most needy categories of society.
